I would like to invite you to discover one of the most meaningful moments of my artistic journey.

In 2024, I had the honour of presenting a major solo exhibition at Galerie Ariel Jakob—today known as Jakobson Gallery—in the heart of Paris, on the historic Place des Vosges.

For me, this exhibition meant much more than exhibiting in one of Paris. It was a return to the city where my artistic career truly began and, even more personally, to the very neighbourhood where I created my first street art paste-ups many years earlier.

Returning to Paris under these circumstances was an unforgettable experience.

One year earlier, I had presented my solo exhibition at the National Tile Museum in Lisbon. For the opening of Émotions, my producer and agent, Paris 75 Image, invited the Museum's Director, Dr. João Pedro Monteiro, to travel to Paris and deliver the opening speech. His presence created a meaningful bridge between Lisbon and Paris, between Portuguese heritage and contemporary artistic creation.

The opening evening was made even more memorable by the exceptional menu created by the award-winning chef Alessandra Montagne, whose restaurants have become references in Paris and who now also leads one of the restaurants at the Musée du Louvre, while signing the cuisine of Cícero Bistrot in Lisbon. Her culinary vision echoed the same dialogue between cultures that inspired my work.

I am also deeply grateful to the entire team at Galerie Ariel Jakob, whose professionalism, curatorial vision and commitment made this exhibition possible. Their confidence in my work and their belief in the dialogue between tradition and contemporary creation transformed this project into an extraordinary artistic adventure.

For this collection, I wanted to go further than ever before.

Inspired by the centuries-old beauty of Portuguese azulejos, by my research carried out throughout Portugal, and by the emotional impact that the National Tile Museum had on my artistic vision, I combined photography, acrylic painting, charcoal, Chinese ink, gold leaf, cardboard, canvas, ceramic fragments and mosaics to create a new visual language where every work tells a story.

As described in the exhibition catalogue, Émotions explores love, separation, femininity and the sea, transforming the Portuguese azulejo into a contemporary artistic language while preserving its historical identity.

I hope you enjoy discovering this exhibition as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Welcome to Émotions.
