Some marks stay on the skin like tattoos. Not the ones we choose. The ones life gives us.

In the 17th century, Dutch merchants returned from the East, utterly captivated by Chinese porcelain that unique blue and white that no one could replicate. It was rare. It was expensive. It was the focal point of every desire.

Ultimately, the answer was born in the Dutch city of Delft. A blue capable of transcending borders, centuries, and civilizations.

And that blue found its way to me.

Because that is exactly how it happens: we are made of what has endured through time before us.

Stories never truly disappear. They linger on the skin. They remain in the eyes.

And this work has stayed within me.
