With Like a Butterfly, I continue my exploration of the boundaries between painting, texture, and sculptural relief. Inspired by the butterfly's symbolism of transformation, freedom, and fleeting beauty, this work captures a suspended moment where fragility and strength coexist.

At the center of the composition, a hand emerges from a vibrant blue universe, evoking water, sky, and imagination. Perched delicately on the fingertips, a brilliant blue butterfly becomes a messenger of change and renewal. The interaction between the hand and the butterfly reflects those rare moments in life when beauty cannot be held or controlled—only appreciated.

This 120 x 120 cm piece is created using a hybrid mixed-media approach, combining a wide range of materials and techniques. The artwork integrates ceramic elements, paper, cardboard, acrylic paint, charcoal, and resin, creating layers of texture, depth, and visual contrast. Traditional tile-inspired motifs merge with contemporary splashes of color and expressive gestures, forming a dialogue between craftsmanship and spontaneity.

The resin enhances the luminosity of the surface, adding a sense of depth and fluidity, while charcoal introduces organic lines and subtle contrasts that bring the composition to life. Each material contributes its own character, yet together they create a harmonious visual language dominated by rich shades of blue.

With Like a Butterfly, I celebrate transformation, resilience, and the delicate balance between permanence and impermanence. It is a reminder that, like the butterfly itself, the most beautiful moments are often the most fleeting.
