Laura Tenoudji discusses O Gringo | Maeght Foundation & international career
In this video, French journalist and presenter Laura Tenoudji shares her perspective on the work of artist O Gringo (Bastien Tomasini).
Known for her interest in culture, new trends, and emerging artists, Laura Tenoudji explains that she discovered O Gringo's world on Instagram and highlights the originality of his artistic journey.
Born in Nice on the French Riviera, Bastien Tomasini has, over the years, built a unique body of work inspired by the history of Portuguese azulejos (tiles), contemporary urban art, and the cultural exchanges between Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Now based in Lisbon, where he develops his artistic practice between La Smart Galerie and LX Factory, O Gringo notably presented a solo exhibition at the National Tile Museum, one of Portugal's most important cultural institutions dedicated to this art form. This filmed archive at the Maeght Foundation bears witness to an important moment in the career of an artist born in Nice and now present in private collections and exhibitions across several countries.
